Terminal Activity Modeling

AN HISTORIC CROSSROADS

To inform pedestrian modeling for fire and life safety improvements for Grand Central Terminal, Cheng Solutions forecasted post-pandemic usage by subway, Metro-North and LIRR passengers. Commutation was modelled for low, medium, and high remote work scenarios to 2040. To forecast tourism-related activity to the terminal, we built macroeconomic models to gauge growth in both domestic and international tourism.
